It's time for summer reading. Please share with me what books you are reading and how you think they are?
Would you recommend them to a friend? Tell me everything!
My 9 year old is required to read 2 chapter books this summer. She just completed the 1st one "A Dog's Life". For a 9yr old, this was a great book, some funny parts, some very sad parts...heartwarming. I would recommend this one because it is a story as told through the eyes of a stray dog. Next up, Marvin's Mice about a cat that cannot chase or kill mice, he only wants to be friends with them. Now, my freshman is getting ready to start reading The Color of Water. I will be reading that as well and will keep you post when I am done reading it. I do not mind the reading so much - what I do mind is the mind-numbing projects that go with the reading.
